Suggestion
I found the May 25th open forum a positive experience. The committee members have taken the time to review older studies and to acknowledge the findings. However, I am concerned you are still considering a bike lane on Bay Road without discussing the safety issues raised from the prior study. Until the Bay Road Bridge and Railroad Underpass are upgraded, Bay Road is an extremely dangerous road for pedestrians and bikers. Hopefully, you will document the findings from the last study and include them with your recommendation since Bay Road should not be currently listed as a viable project due to safety reasons.

Question
my comment was in reference to the Village Plan Update of 2006. Is this the study that is referenced here? Could you provide more information as to the 2008 Proposed Falls Road Streetscape? I'm not familiar with that.

The Bay Road path presents a significant safety issue since the road under the railroad overpass is very narrow and presents an almost blind entrance. There are stop signs on both ends however a lot people do not stop at all or do a rolling stop, very dangerous if a bike or pedestrian presented itself.

There are a lot of good suggestions in this study. I'm especially interested in providing a continuous sidewalk, well separated from the traveled roadway, from the plaza entrance all the way to the Willow House.

Question
re: sw7. I understand that numerically this recommendation comes out on top. Intuitively, though, I don't understand why a sidewalk in this area would be the number one priority project. This sidewalk would run almost parallel to an existing sidewalk which also connects from the intersection to the toy shop. Am I missing something here in terms of the value this sidewalk would add?

Question
Are su4 and sw3 the same recommendation?
